Total time: 311:11 (5 hours, 11 minutes, 11 seconds)

source: WWOZ-FM > RadioShark v2.0.2 USB FM receiver > Macintosh MacMini (2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) > aiff > Quicktime 7.6.3 (convert aiff to wav) > wav > flac v1.2.1 (Linux command line; level 8 compression) > three large flac files

splice source (from mp3 stream): WWOZ.org 128 kbps mp3 stream > StationRipper v2.98.2 > Sony Vaio vpcs131fm > captured mp3 stream > hard drive > MacBook Pro (2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) > Quicktime 7.6.9 > (convert mp3 to wav/aiff) > Bias Peak Pro 6.2 (see below)

transfer: flac files (transferred by ftp from remote pc) > MacBook Pro (2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) > X Audio Compression Toolkit 2.12 (convert to aiff) > aiff > Bias Peak Pro 6.2.0.21692 (trimmed, split into songs) > X Audio Compression Toolkit 2.13b (sector boundaries repaired; level 8 compression) > flac

There were two breaks in my recording due to required media changes (due to the length of the broadcast). The missing sections were using splices from the mp3 stream, including:
* 5-second splice from the mp3 source at 55 seconds into the Victor Atkins' set (about 37 seconds into Track 53); and
* 12.2-second splice at 12:43 into Track 94 (about 1:45 before the end of the broadcast). The splice includes 5- to 6-second crossfades into and out of the splice.

The quality of the mix varies considerably, particularly for the first few sets. The mix problems are particularly noticeable during Joe Krown's set -- the mix switches to mono at least once, plus the stereo image shifts around. During his set, the kick drum also evidently was not mic'd properly and there is some audible clipping. Some of the worst spots were repaired manually using Bias Peak's repair clicks function.

Unlike most live broadcasts by WWOZ, this one was relatively free of dropouts:
* There is a 2.7-second dropout during the outro of Paul Longstreth's set (Track 30), which ends abruptly. The dropout also affects the first few seconds of Tom Worrell's set (Track 31), which begins abruptly.
* Also, there was a 1-minute dropout during Nigel Hall's set when the station evidently lost the signal from the House of Blues. (After a minute of silence, canned music from the studio begins but is quickly cut off and the live broadcast resumes.) The dropout (in Track 88) was reduced to 2 seconds.
