Notes: MERRY CHRISTMAS!! With the loss of so many of the great blues legends over the last year I am going back through my personal archives for shows worth releasing. I tend to hold shows that that for whatever reasons, don't stand out at the time I record them. Pinetop Perkins, Bob Margolin and friends used to play the KBBF each year and the worth of the show relative to the others varies each year. Since Pinetop and Willie 'Big Eyes' Smith have left us now and there will be no more opportunities to capture their music I wanted to let this out for those who collect their music or appreciate the blues as an art form. I fit the latter group.

I have another set that Pinetop did with Elvin Bishop and Lil' Smokey Smothers at Ground Zero in Clarksdale, MS four days after this show that I consider much better. Regardless, this one (crowd chatter and all) is worth listening to as it was one of the last times I saw Pinetop perform.

Enjoy!
