Pink Floyd 1987-1988 Another Sound Of Thunder Brought Back to Life
I would like to thank Lennif, Ruben77, reviewers, and all of the users who originally shared the audio used in this project.
Lennif listened to every song from every source that I was intending to use and gave me a critique for every song.
From that we decided which sources to use for every song. Some of the songs from the SBD sources had issues and we
had to be careful not to use audio used on Pro releases. This would leave out a better version of the song.
While Lennif was listening to the sources, I was working on mastering the SBD sources used so the songs flowed
somewhat sound wise. I spent alot of time creating an EQ reference from the pro sources of the concerts that would be
matched to each SBD source.
The Great gig in the sky became an issue because the best SBD version of the song (from available SBD'S) was used on
the new PF box set in Venice 89 and others. Therefore an audience source had to be used and did the best with that.
The EQ of the audience sources needed to be addressed in a different way.
Echoes was an issue. Echoes on the 87 rehearsal audio was mono so I had stereolize it among other problems. Echoes on the
Philly 87 SBD had a rough start and was distorted in spots. Therefore an edit of the Tour Rehearsal 87 and the Philadelphia 87
SBD was created. Another issue was Money. An edit using portions of Miami 87 and Nassau 8/20/88 was created because the
available SBD sources had deleted sections and incomplete vocals for example.
The setlist for the project was created after reviewing the notes of the individual songs from each SBD with Lennif.
Edits of the songs were created based on the set list then blended together to create each set. The audio was then shared
with several users here behind the scenes for input and suggestions. Ruben77 suggested to make some changes in spots for example.
The final version was then created with some further mastering tweaks and volume adjustments.
