Rescheduled from the Apollo on the 16 December (due to a strike at the ticket printers) according to The Police wiki. I had been looking forward to seeing The Police since I heard Fallout. This particular night seemed perfect - the last Friday before Christmas and supporting the Albertos, it was an opportunity to see some great bands (John Dowie was second on the bill) and, more importantly, continue my mission to rid the world of alcohol (by drinking it). The Poly was full that night - it seems I wasn't the only one with that idea!

The Police took the stage to an initially muted response which grew more and more vocal as the set progressed - witness the loud guy near me during Roxanne!

After the set, Sting turned up at the bar and gave me an Illegal Records badge, which I still have.
