This is an "off the air" copy of The Police, not pre-fm

THE POLICE MY FATHERS PLACE 3-29-1979 WLIR FM

This is number five in my series of basement tapes. The others seem to have gone over very well and the response has been great. This particular show is one of the BEST Police recordings available anywhere. The band is energized and Stings’ voice is very hoarse and raw. The band smokes from beginning to end and you can tell that they are having a ball. This is a kick ass show!!
The DJ intro mentions that this is the bands first appearance on Long Island, so that should put to rest any question as to the date of the show. There is a few second gap at the tape flip at the end of Roxanne but that was just the crowd screaming for an encore. I would really appreciate some feedback concerning the sound quality of these remastered recordings. As for all the POLICE shows SeriusJoe did the remastering. Enjoy everyone. The Palladium or the second My Fathers Place show next? Your choice.
