Because of the presence of audience talking at the same spots, I think the Sept. '05 upload (Version 1) comes from the same source as my upload (Version 2). One example would be the people chatting during the "Roxanne" sample below. Another example is that the beginning of track 13 is cut on each version.

In his subsequent posting on the Sept. '05 thread, Funio_I commented that he believed this version (Version 1) had Noise Reduction applied to it, and I think that is a correct presumption. I have several samples below to show the difference between the Sept. '15 upload and mine today.

in addition, if you examine the images I made, I think the Frequency and Spectral Views between Versions 1 and 2 demonstrate that Noise Reduction was applied, resulting in Version 1.

Finally, my upload of Version 2 also have a slightly more defined lineage than the Sept. '15 upload.

But I would hate to definitively use the word "Upgrade." Having observed differences in sound between Version 1 and 2, I also think my upload (Version 2), while not subject to Noise Reduction, has its own fair share of problems. The audio does have distortion, and there is a cricket like sound (which is particularly present in both examples of "Voices in my Head" sampled below but is much more obvious in Version 2). It maybe that the Sept. '15 (Version 1) upload was someone's attempt to deal with the distortion and sound artifacts.
