This tape has never circulated before. It is a performance by blues legend Popa Chubby in Ferrara's club Renfe, taped by my father. My father is not a taper nor a trader, and this is the only show he has ever taped: he did that only because at the time he was a big Popa Chubby fan. He used a Sony Walkman in his pocket, but he was very near the stage and the results were surprisingly good. The tape was played quite a lot back in the day, and some years ago a friend of him did a transfer, but it was drowned in noise reduction and sounded too high in volume, so I never shared it. My father liked the sound quality of the CDR, though, and put the tape away, so I assumed it was lost. Well, it wasn't, some days ago I was looking for something completely different when magically it turned out. I transferred it and sound was coming out only from one channel (turns out it was taped that way by the walkman), but once set into mono still sounds very nice. I checked on the net and there doesn't seem any tape circoulating of this show, so I hope you will all enjoy this.

I'm not really a Popa Chubby fan, but sounds like it was an interesting show, with good playing and funny banter from the man itself. It's not the complete concert: my dad just brought a 80 minute tape with him, so the last song cuts off. Tape flip is during the banter at the end of "Same Old Blues". It looks like my father paused the recoder in other spots as well, probably to save tape, but never during the music. I wasn't able to identify track 6's title, sorry. Anyone?
