lineage: from CD-R, workflow not known but believed to be a direct transfer

Thanks to Thomas, the original taper though the CD-R I used was not sourced from him.

Very good sound indeed and a good gig. Some tape problems around the time of King of Rock N Roll but otherwise a very good record of the set.

I previously posted the Barcelona set from the same tour, and to recap from the notes from that, the 1990 tour of the UK and Europe was to be Prefab Sprout's last outing in the classic line up including Wendy Smith, and was in support of the peerless Jordan the Comeback. Those who consider the Sprouts to be the 1980s refuge for 1970s prog fans are supported in that view by an opening number recalling somewhat Genesis' Watcher of the Skies for atmospheric buildup, "Michael", and the Daryl Steurmeresque guitar of Paul Harvey throughout, but it was a wide and varied set heavy on numbers from Steve McQueen and Jordan.

Some excellent chicken plucking references too.

If anyone knows of an audio sources for any Prefab Sprout live or session material, I'd love to hear of it. There's a wants list at the top of http://psgigs.wikispaces.com/
