Tapers Notes:
I don't recall the Preservation Hall Jazz Band playing in Los Angeles before, but
Mark Braud mentioned that they have been coming here for 40 years. If they did,
I missed it, but not this time.
The Ford Theater is 1,200 seat outdoor venue, a minerature Hollywood Bowl,
nestled into a canyon in the Hollywood Hills. We were so close, and the band
so loud that the dynamic range on this recording is quite large. No processing
was done to preserve that great sound.
Help us out with a set list, jazz fans.
By the way, Robbie Krieger, of the Doors, sat in on two songs. His mix was really
hot, and the music style just didn't fit in, at least in my judgment, but the guys
got a huge kick out of him playing with them.

The true thanks go not to me, but to the taping community behind whose footsteps
I have followed, including those who have perfected the art of stealth
recordings, the makers of the stealthy mikes, cords, adapters, and preamps, and
those who have graciously shared their recording techniques.
I am merely a mike stand with a credit card and driver's license.
As always, I don't care what you do with these files, once you download
them--they are yours now, except these files are not for sale, free
trade only. You can thank me by uploading something of a similar genre
or trading with me, so I can.

Scooter
