It was the band's 2 day tour to Lithuania. PROJECT/OBJECT featuring two musicians of Frank Zappa played one show in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, and the second show in the "summer" capital of the country – the biggest resort town in Lithuania near the Baltic sea – Palanga. It was the first time any of Frank Zappa's musicians visited Lithuania, though there is a statue of this artist in public square since 1995…
Anyway it’s not the first time someone related to Zappa visited the country. In 2009 ZAPPA PLAYS ZAPPA played there one concert. This event, including some meetings with "vip" persons, got bigger attention than Ray White and Ike Willis's visit. Also ZAPPA PLAYS ZAPPA played in a bigger venue with better acoustic and sound system.
So PROJECT/OBJECT in Vilnius suffered a bit from imperfect sound, which is the trademark of the New York Club, but nevertheless both bands were equally fascinating, at the same time showing a very different approach to Zappa's musical heritage.
To my ears this complete recording of the first PROJECT/OBJECT show in Lithuanian is of the average quality (6/10). Unfortunately I can't say anything about the second show of the tour, because I attended only the first one.
