Another year is here and I'll try to get as much of it as I can again. The Festival is again being broadcast by KBOO FM. They are a community radio station which is listener funded. Please support them if you can. Only four day's this year since the 4th is on a Wednesday. Again, I've tried to find and "fix" all the blemishes. Enjoy the show's....twofthrs

The Proven Ones featuring Kid Ramos, Anthony Geraci, Willie J. Campbell, Jimi Bott, Brian Templeton with The Indigo Horns

The Proven Ones are truly an all-star ensemble, fronted by the dynamic Boston Blues legend Brian Templeton on vocals/ harmonica/accordion; one of the truly great modern blues guitarists, Kid Ramos (who appeared previously at the Festival with Mannish Boys, Fabulous Thunderbirds); Anthony Geraci, holding down the keyboard chair; Willie J. Campbell (Mannish Boys) on bass; and Portland�s Jimi Bott (Fabulous Thunderbirds, Mannish Boys, Kevin Selfe) rounding out the rhythm section on drums.

Kid Ramos received the Orange County Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014. Jimi Bott is a 12-time winner of the Cascade Blues Association for Blues Drummer of the Year, winning it so many times the Award is now named after him. All members have been nominated for multiple Blues Music Awards from the Memphis-based Blues Foundation: Geraci (Pinetop Perkins Piano Player Award for the last 3 years); Bott (instrumentalist/drums, nominated 20 times, winner in 2015). Grammy Nomination for Geraci (for Super Harps I on Telarc). Band members have been on hundreds of recordings and have been members of some of the most influential blues bands of the last 40 years, including: The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters, The James Harman Band, Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers, The Mannish Boys, and Sugar Ray and the Bluetones. They have also accompanied many of the originators of blues and Rhythm & Blues, including John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thorton, Chuck Berry, Big Walter Horton, Big Joe Turner, Otis Rush, Chuck Berry and many more.
