NOTES:
This was my first time seeing a full set/show by the Psychedelic Furs, as I had previously only caught a portion of their Cruel World festival set a few years ago in Pasadena, CA. I was offered a free floor ticket to this show, so how could I say no? I couldn't!
The crowd was a bit talky so I had moved slightly to my left to avoid some talkers, but they ended up moving further up and I got stuck to other talkers in my new spot. I swear they follow me like the plague sometimes.
The band sounded really good though. Right at the beginning, when the band was starting into their first song, lead singer Richard Butler walked out on stage and tripped over a guitar cable and did a somersault on stage, but he popped right up, took it in stride and yelled out "What an entrance!" and the show went on. An early highlight was "Wrong Train", which is such a good song, especially live.
They looked and sounded really good and I recommend that if you haven't had a chance to catch them live yet, after all these years, you should do so.
