Notes: This is a previously uncirculated recording and the only known source of this show. It was one of the first shows held at the sterile, corporate, no character Nokia Theatre in downtown LA. The sound is good if you are up close, but I hate this venue. From it’s walk-through metal detectors, to it’s plastic seats, to its lobby full of Nokia products, and to it’s bartenders who pour drinks with with pourers that measure the shots exactly.
The show was not sold out and the balcony was curtained off, but it was excellent nonetheless. Unfortunately there are some of the most annoying screaming dudes between songs that I’ve ever heard at a show behind the taper (a reason to never run omni’s) and I admire the fact that he didn’t turn around and punch one of them as I’m not sure I would have been able to take it.
Due to the fact that there is no other source for this show, I figured the QotSA diehards would still want to hear it. Thanks again to Ed for taping.
