This concert was part of the 34th annual World Whale day Celebration on Maui sponsored by the
Pacific Whale Foundation. The celbration actually takes place for a full week but culminates with a
parade and all day concerts by various bands.
This year, Mick Fleetwood was the Grand Marshall. Pictures are included showing Mick and Maui
Mayor, Alan Arakawa, leading the Whale Day Parade and arriving in a horse drawn carriage.
After several bands completed their sets, Mick Fleetwood joined in the performance by
the R.E. Metoyer Blues Rock and Soul Revue.
Members of the band have played with (but not limited to) Elvin Bishop, Four Tops,
Norton Buffalo, George Benson, John Mayall, Charlie Musselwhite, Stevie Wonder and more.

Some notes:
The sax player was "gone missing" for the very first part of the set.
The recording was made a little too close to the stage and a bit off to the
right side of center. As a result, the vocals from the speaker columns sound a
bit distant. Most of the band was off to the left side to accomadate Mick
Fleetwood's drum kit. Mick's drums were directly in front of the mics so he
overpowers the band a bit.
Other than that, enjoy one of those rare types of performances that major artists
sometimes perform for the fun of it.
Aloha from Maui
