Lineage: Standing 5 rows back from stage, left-center, in front of the center overhead PA monitor. Core Sound Omnis clipped to glasses, battery filter on, Edirol R09-HR with low cut, 24 bit-48 kHz > SanDisc > hard drive > Sound Forge > removed low rumble below 20hz, EQ to roll off low end slightly and boost upper mids, peak normalized to -01>exported 24 bit file to CD Architect-track splits-CD burned, ripped as wav in WMP>FLAC level 8, align sector boundaries in TLH.
It was a benefit show for Bobby Sutliff, who was injured in a car accident, which bought the Rain Parade to Atlanta this night [See the article in the attached file]. I feel fortunate to get to see them, since their injured friend happened to live here plus I somehow missed them back in the 80s when they played at the 688 club on Spring Street-[3 times] despite being a big fan.
The EARL is a small club that holds about 200 people and it was nearly sold out. Considering they havent played together for over 25 years, they sounded great.
Tim Lee, Bobbys band mate from the Windbreakers days was on the bill with his wife Susan Bauer Lee as the Tim Lee 3. Bobby came on stage with the TL3 and the Rain Parade encore, with one of the highlights being a rousing rendition of Televisions Glory.
There is one song when you hear some crackling, that was a flimsy water bottle I was sucking on, sorry, won't happen again.
Buy the bands official product-trade this freely but never sell- never upload as MP3 or other lossy format.
Enjoy!
