The Ramones at the Channel, Boston, MA September 14, 1988, incomplete audience recording, new transfer.
This comes from a cassette of an unknown generation, purchased at Mystery Train Records in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA, sometime in the early '90's. Maxell UDII 60 (Type II) went from Onkyo TA-RW313 cassette deck into Zoom H2, which I USB'd into my PC. Wav went to Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 12, where track markings, editting, and volume boost were done. Speed correction was also needed, going from 120 BPM to 128.617 BPM. TLH used for flac conversion, SBE correction, and torrent creation.

The sound quality on this gets a B at best, though it changes a bit throughout. I'm pretty sure the taper moved around a bit. There are some songs that sound heavily affected by crowd noise, and other parts that sound pretty smooth. There is a fade-out at the end of track 15, and a fade-in at the start of track 16, losing no music - that was where the tape flip on my copy occurs. Track 25 gets cut short towards the end of it, and track 26 cuts in, leading me to believe that the master was probably on a 90 minute tape. There is a fade-out again at the end of track 29, and a fade-in at the start of track 30. Finally, track 31 includes the start of "We're A Happy Family", which gets cut off right when the vocals start. I have uploaded this show here in the past, only it was done either with a cd recorder from a cdr, or Audigy Soundblaster SE, so this is a more direct transfer. Also, the speed correction wasn't done previously.
While I'm always happy to share, this upload is primarily a cry to anyone who has any Ramones recordings from the New England area (specifically Avalon, Citi, UNH, Great Woods, the Orpheum, or Hampton Beach) to please share 'em! The Ramones were always my favorite band live, and I don't have a single recording from the 9 shows I was at.
Enjoy!
