Ray Bonneville is a Canadian American who has more than thirty years of music making. The last fifteen years, he writes his
own songs, and there is only benefited. Bonneville is the best compared to a man like JJ Cale.
He also has a smooth, slightly husky warm baritone is also very relaxed and laid-back music and also manages to
despite the laid-back approach whole exciting bluesy music, where the rough edges still sit.
Bonneville plays fabulously beautiful guitar (with thumb and forefinger), harmonica and reinforced plywood board
(where his foot to tap the rhythm). His latest CD - going by the feel - is not just good because a great
band playing, but especially in the first place because of Ray Bonneville itself. Rough Luck is recorded live and solo
in the studio, but if you do not know do you think there is a complete band. That's because Ray has his own rhythm section,
with his feet, but also their basspel using thumb, and he also plays guitar so special.
Comparisons with Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler seems as far-fetched, but surely that the blues virtuoso Bonneville
a step further shall, without the essence of the blues to lose - it is never smooth, never too easy,
but remains always the rough edges and the sheer force to keep the blues heard.
