Okay folks, you are all in for a real treat of a unique and spectacular concert event.

These 2 legends toured together for a short time in 1972.

This is an amazing performance and very good sound quality.

The only editing I had to do was check it for any gaps and track transitions.

Ray's second USA tour in '72 was booked from early November to mid December.

Ray and BB played the Circle Theatre in San Carlos from November 28 to December 3.

Recording notes:

'Our Suite' is the first known live recording.

'Love Train' is a first known live recording.

'Blues For Big Scotia' is an earliest known concert rendition.

'Over The Rainbow' is a solo interpretation by Susaye Greene.

"Yours and Don't Change On Me" are the earliest known concert versions.

"Laughin' And Clownin' is very rarely played live.

B.B. King comes out during track 16 and plays through the rest of the show with Ray and The Raelettes.

Michael Lydon wrote about the San Carlos gig in Boogie Lightning (1974):

"The Ray Charles show was at the Circle Star for six days, one show nightly Tuesday through Friday, two on Saturday night and

a Sunday matinee and evening show. Collectors always carried "November 1972" as a date, which means that this concert was taped

between 28 and 30 November 1972. The information on the musicians is based on information kindly provided by Jol Dufour.

For any Ray Charles collector who would like an education, please read through Mr. Stumpel's site.
