Ray Manzarek

Here's a cool show from the great days of radio when music was important, taken seriously
and you could actually hear a concert performed without endless commercial interruptions.
You don't hear much about the post-Doors days so I thought I'd offer this show I got in
trade about 2 years ago. The sound is a bit more muffled than it should be considering it was
broadcast on the radio but who knows what this recording has endured over 30+ years.
It seems that perhaps someone applied noise reduction or compression at some point but
I can only guess. I don't know the exact lineage, of course, but I can surmise it was probably
recorded onto cassette initially.
Lineage: WLIR-FM broadcast>cassette?>CD-R trade>WavePad>Flac Level 8
I did nothing to this recording than to simply copy it from the CD-R I received to my harddrive
and create FLAC files in WavePad.
Here is the band and setlist info:
Ray Manzarek: Keyboards, Synthesizer, Hammond Organ, Clavinet, Fender Rhodes, Vocals
Dave Furgeson: Guitar
Tim Downes: Drums
Jerry Manfreddy: Bass
Steve Foreman: Percussion
1: He Can't Come Today
2: The Purpose Of Existence Is?
3: Solar Boat
4: Downbound Train
5: Band Intros & Interview
6: The Moorish Idol
7: Oh Thou Precious Nectar Filled Form (or) A Little Fart
8: The Golden Scarab
9: Good Rockin'
Some song notes: Downbound Train was written by Chuck Berry and contains some of the
Mystery Train jam the Doors used to perform during their 1970 shows with Jim Morrison.
Good Rockin' is an Elvis Presley song that the Doors recorded for their final album, Full Circle
in 1972. They performed this song in concert during their 1972 shows right up to their last
performance at the Hollywood Bowl on September 10, 1972.
Please don't MP3 and don't sell. Please DO share and Enjoy!!!
