Notes on the show:
This was my 2nd RTF show (the first being at SPAC in June of '08) and this was beyond a doubt so much better and amazing this time around with this group. While this was the 2nd show of their new tour (or a rehearsal as Chick put it) they all were in absolute top form and their energy was amazing and also shared by the crowd of 4-5,000. I was right in front of the barricade with the minidisc going. I think this show turned out very well, listening back to it. It may sound mono, but it is stereo, recorded on my trusty old Sony ECM-719 stereo Mic. This was two full hours of absolute fusion personified. Towards the end of the night, the Jazz Fest's coordinator, Frank Malfitano, brought out a cake for Chick (who celebrated his 70th birthday earlier this month) and the crowd sang Happy Birthday which was an awesome moment. They ended the show with School Days and everybody gave an epic standing ovation at the end. It was truly a magical night. I'll be sharing my HD video of this show in a separate torrent, so stay tuned fusion freaks!
If anyone wants to improve upon what's here, feel free!
Enjoy this folks!
