Richard Buckner with Alejandro Escovedo

2000/01/XX

Sacramento
Great SBD

Hopefully, someone will know the date to this show. Buckner says 'hello Sacramento' at one point and Buck and Alejandro played together in California in January 2000, so we're probably talking about that month.
Nevertheless, this is a GREAT show - don't know what got into Buckner that night but his singing is some of the best I've ever heard from him, throaty and ragged and loose and crazed.
Almost every track is a highlight but versions of "Put On..", "Ocean cliff", "Pull", "Goodbye Rye" and a slow, sad "Year Ahead" are outstanding.
I'm not a huge fan of Escovedo but he sings especially well on this show too and has a great version of "Falling>Street Hassle" with an amazing spoken word section and a nice encore of "Irene Wild"
Sound is great.
