The band for this show was Richard Hell (vocals), Robert Quine and Ivan Julian (guitars), John Xavier aka X Sessive (bass) and James Morrison (drums). I was at a show at Irving Plaza in New York (also known as Club 57) a couple of years later and noticed Ivan Julian was there. I introduced myself and mentioned that I had been at the Voidoids' two New Haven shows. He told me that this performance was the last by the band. They had decided to hang it up but didn't want to make a big New York City deal out of it. So here it is for your downloading pleasure: the last live performance of Richard Hell & the Voidoids featuring Quine and Julian on guitars.
A note on the sound: I think this is quite listenable (check out the sample). However, the deck I was using at the time had a tendency to sometimes "woof" out on low tom hits or some bass notes. It happens now and then.
I also recorded the band in spring of 1979 at the same venue.
