RICHARD THOMPSON - Paard van Troje, Den Haag, October 11 2007

This is my recording of Richard Thompson's 2007 show in Den Haag. Quite a long set with lots of songs from the new Sweet Warrior album and also some great oldies. Thompson is supported by an excellent band and his guitar playing is as great as always. The main hall of the Paard van Troje isn't the type of venue that's good for the Edirol's internal mics, but excellent sound at the venue makes the recording really good anyway. There's the occasional noisy audience (the show was of course very well received by the audience) and I had to move to a place closer to the hall's exit for the final encore to catch the last train home. Therefore the quality of "Tear stained letter" is slightly worse, but not a lot. Overall a pretty good recording of an excellent show. Artwork is included in the torrent. Enjoy!
