Notes: Pete and Toshi Seeger started this festival in 1978 to raise awareness for environmental
issues along the Hudson River and Hudson Valley. Even before that, in the 1960's, Pete organized
folk picnics to raise money to build a boat (the 106-foot sloop "Clearwater") that would travel
on the river as part of his environmental campaign. As this was the first Clearwater Festival
since the deaths of Pete and Toshi last year, there was an extra special vibe throughout the day.
As a bonus, the weather and scenery along the river were amazing. Great music too! Please visit

This was my first time seeing RT. Great guitar work, singing, and he's really good at audience
banter. There is some echo and then a single volume adjustment at the beginning of track 02.
Parts of this Festival were FM broadcast on WFUV, so I hope someone has some FM captures. I
have audience recordings of Dar Williams, Rufus Wainwright and The Mavericks. I also have
an FM recording of Lucinda Williams' performance on June 22. All of these will be shared here.
