First time I've ever successfully recorded a full show.

Recorded with iRig Recorder in WAV, using only an iPhone 6+ upside down in my shirt pocket. From dead center in the balcony. It's mono, but otherwise, a very good audience recording.

I've listened to it, and it compares favorably with other torrents from this artist and tour.

Enjoy,

Tom

Richard Thompson - Solo Acoustic

(2 shows!) Fri, Nov 10 & Sat, Nov 11, 7:30pm

$45

Named by Rolling Stone as one of the Top 20 Guitarists of All Time, Richard Thompson is one of the worlds most critically acclaimed and prolific songwriters.
Having co-founded the groundbreaking group Fairport Convention as a teenager in the 60s, Thompson and his mates virtually invented British folk rock.
Since then, Thompson has spent over 30 years as a highly successful solo artist, creating over 40 albums and numerous soundtracks and earning many Grammy nominations and Lifetime Achievement Awards for Songwriting.
As an in-demand live performer, the past two years saw Richard Thompson headlining dates around the world, co-headlining shows with Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell, and participating in the Americanarama Tour
with Bob Dylan, Wilco, and My Morning Jacket - which culminated with Dylan performing Thompsons classic 1952 Vincent Black Lightning.

Richard Thompsons genre-defying mastery of acoustic and electric guitar, along with his dizzying energy and onstage wit,
continue to earn him massive new fans and a place as one of the most distinctive virtuosos in folk rock history.

"THE FINEST ROCK SONGWRITER AFTER DYLAN AND THE BEST ELECTRIC GUITARIST SINCE HENDRIX." - LOS ANGELES TIMES
