Richard Thompson Big Band - Cropredy August 12 1983.
A Laggashoebox tape
Aud. rec Sony cassette-recorder - transferred direct from my master tape to CD. The sound is ok, a bit to "sharp" - the PA wasnt that good. I was just close to the mixing desk and it the recording sound close to what I heard. I had to edit a few tape cuts between some of the songs
This is de facto a reunion of Thompson's first band, Fairport Convention, with Fairport's original producer Joe Boyd at the controls. Only Dave Swarbrick is missing, with Simon Nicol, Dave Peggs, and Dave Mattacks all present and accounted for, augmented by twin saxes: Pete Thomas, Pete Zorn and John Kirkpatrick's always-evocative accordion.
