Notes:
This is a fantastic quality recording.

Rick is backed by a full band - The Boneheads from Maine, with whom Rick played in both 1993 and 1996. It is great to hear a Rick solo performance where he is backed by such a proficient sympathetic group of musicians who clearly have a wonderful affinity with Rick and his music and bring the very best out of him. Even Rick comments after "Crazy Mama" that he hopes it was recorded as it was one of the best versions ever.

Highly recommended. Only shame is the performance is so short at just 50 minutes.

There is a question mark over the date for this show. The Band performed on Late Show with David Letterman on 26 March, so would Rick have been playing in Maine the same day? Rick says on the recording that he and the Boneheads are playing in Providence the next night and asks the band to pick him up from his hotel. Rick also says that The Band are playing Carnegie Hall with JJ Cale a week on Saturday. The date of The Band's performance at Carnegie Hall was 29 March 1996, although that was a Friday not a Saturday so Rick was clearly at least partly wrong in what he said.
