After Steve Hackett, I walked over to Studio B to grab a seat for Dave Mason. When I got there, Tom Toomey's show was still going on and the venue was overflowing. I assumed most people would remain in their seats for Dave Mason and didn't realize until the next day that they probably emptied the venue afterwards. (In general, the lines for Studio B, even though it was a large venue, were atrocious the entire cruise.) After abandoning my plan to see Dave Mason, I glanced at the schedule and decided to check out Rick Derringer. The theater was "open seating" and hardly anyone was there. (I figured everyone was at Dave Mason.) We grabbed a seat not far from the soundboard and, as you'll undoubtedly hear on the first song, the sound was horrendous. We quickly bailed out to the balcony and noticed an immediate improvement.
