The Gala Theatre (and Cinema) is a arts centre millennium project, built just above where the ice rink used to be, not far along from the cathedral. It's not huge, so it was full for Rick - a largely silver-haired audience, not completely stowed-out with aging prog rockers!
Rick was in damn fine form. As you can see from the set list, the music represented about 50% of the show, the remainder was his chat between each piece! However, I was absolutely gutted to find, when sitting down for the second half, that the batteries (which I thought were new) for my machine, had run out, with no spares available. So I'm afraid that all you get here is the first half. Apologies therefore, for not presenting his version of And You And I, and his wonderful story about Jon and his need for a view while painting on the Isle of Man. Maybe another time!
The sound on the original was way too quiet, so I boosted the volume and compressed down the peaks to compensate. Happy with it now, and didn't want to do any more.
