This was recorded dead center, at the edge of the stage.
Because of this, I ended up getting "stage mix, heavy on
the Jack Bruce bass" sound instead of a balanced recording.
This is what you get when you sacrifice a primo visual spot
instead of a primo acoustical location. But, then, it's
not every day that I receive direct eye contact from a real,
actual BEATLE, which occurred a couple of times. Ringo even
waved the peace sign to my wife to get her to smile. During
"White Room," Jack was so close to me, I couldn't untied
his shoelaces. The crowd was also much more excited, and
you'll occassionally hear some funny banter between Ringo
and the audience standing near me.
