Aptly named after the Venice California bar, the Brig Band was formed in 2002 by a group of local pro musicians when bar owner Dave Reiss decided to turn Tuesday nights into an all-star jam.
What was originally a quiet night turned into a legendary underground L.A. hang with people lining up down the block to get in, attracting some of the best players in the world.
Tonight the featured musicians were Robby Krieger from the DOORS and Arthur Barrow and Sal Marquez from Frank Zappa's band.
