Another Jackal Production Vol 34: Robby Krieger 2025-07-26 Whisky a Go Go, West Hollywood, CA
This was my second show attended of Robby's 60th anniversary Doors album series. I also came down (from Sacramento) for L.A. Woman (still on Dime). Another great night at The Whisky!! It's shoulder-to-shoulder, sweaty & stuffy, and great sound... the atmosphere is captured pretty well in the recording (check out the sample).
After the show I made my way to the stage, hoping to grab a copy of the setlist. Too late for that but I did get a pick from Robby's guitar tech and chatted for a few minutes with Dan the bass player while he was stowing his gear. I asked why Robby didn't include Morrison Hotel in the album series. He said good catch & good question. He told me to be on the lookout for an announcement coming soon. Throughout the week I checked Robby's website and on Wednesday there was a post that he'd be doing the Morrison Hotel album "plus all of The Doors hits" at a special show at the Greek Theatre at the end of October. Excellent!! I grabbed a ticket when they went on sale Friday, booked a flight & hotel and am looking forward to the finale of Robby's 60th anniversay album series. Being well outside of the Los Angeles market, I'd have never known about the show if not for the chat. Thanks Dan!
Includes the show poster + pics I took at the show with my iPhone 15 ProMax & edited for presentation with PowerPoint.
Enjoy!
