13. Kid [from Passaic '79]

A very good performance, though not strikingly different from others from the same era (Paul's Mall, Boston and San
Francisco) that have been shared online.

Comparison with the other shows, for those who want some form of verification, is listed in a file I've included
in the torrent. It's not an easy task particularly due to the varying amounts of hiss, and the speed differences
between the shows. However the evidence is there that *three* different Robert Palmer shows from the '75-76 era
have been granted FM broadcasts.

Also present on the record was Kid, from Passaic 79. I will one day find the more complete show that I once got sent
of Passaic 79, when I can find it! :).

Enjoy!

I hope someone out there could also help with these items I am seeking! -

FURTHER ROBERT PALMER SOUGHT

Robert Palmer live Concertgebouw Amsterdam 1978 FM - Lossless. despite being elusive, this has circulated, so someone out there has it - *please* share! :)

Robert Palmer live Holland - Various dates [around 1979 or so] - FM - more of a 'legendary' item this one. Anyone have it?

Robert Palmer live Nijmegen Holland 15 Oct 1980 FM - despite being elusive, this has circulated, so someone out there has it - *please* share!

Robert Palmer live Hammersmith 31st May 1983 missing tracks (It's Not Difficult, Some Guys Have All the Luck and Best of Both Worlds, from a better quality recording (if one exists! ) than the one shared online recently...

Robert Palmer live Le Palace, Paris 10 June 1983 - Soundboard recording

Robert Palmer live London, the Town and Country 1991 *BBC* broadcast version (the more common Westwood One version, which has circulated from the 'Feel The Heat' CD and in pre-FM form I believe, has overdubbed applause and considerable wow and flutter (speed wobble)).
The BBC version was much better.

Also I understand there was a Robert Palmer concert broadcast on television in Japan in 1986, and also
a show in Germany from 1983 was broadcast on television too - if anyone could share these a lot of fans
would be very grateful.

DAVID BOWIE WANTED!

Boston 6th May 1978 - IMPROVED TRANSFER?
The seeds I've found of this were from the same source, there was a ticking sound throughout, almost like radio interference.
I found my old tape of it : no ticking, but sadly a lot of wow and flutter (speed 'wobble').
Hopefully someone out there has a clean nicely preserved tape they might want to share?
I recently got a copy from a blog...with clipping. There must be a clean transfer somewhere?

BLONDIE

Blondie live 6th November 78 Philadelphia FM : full length show, 75-80 minutes version IN STEREO- despite being elusive, this has circulated, so someone out there has it - *please* share!

**Iggy Pop DVD footage sought** :

Iggy live 5th April 87 NYC 1018

Jimmy Fallon, US TV, June 2009

Le Grande Journal [French TV May 2009]

Enjoy the download above, and hope someone out there might be able to help with these requests!

Thanks for any help!

Small nightclub in New York 1975

A very good performance, though not strikingly different from others from the same era
torrented on Dime [in particular the and show].

Details follow confirming the differences between this show and the two other FM broadcast shows from this era -

Boston, Paul's Mall FM 16th April 1976
[Torrent #250139 Robert Palmer - RATW76 KBFH79 (Reseed)]

and

San Francisco, Savoy-Tivoli KSAN FM 6th April 1976
[Torrent #250250 Robert Palmer - 1977-08-xx - KSAN FM - San Francisco, CA (Repost)
- I've gone with Dime member Isa's date for this gig on their webpage, as Isa's details of
Robert Palmer tour dates suggest accurate knowledge there].

Give Me An Inch Girl
last vocal is 'wooah, yeah' 12 secs before the song ends on the version here.
last vocal is "inch girl, yeah", 5 secs before the song ends on RATW7679/Boston
last vocal is "it's my heart" 3 secs before the song ends on San Francisco

Sailin' Shoes
At the end, the 'yeah' is different on the performance here to the Boston show,
and on San Francisco show there isn't a 'yeah' at the end! :)
Also the feel of this track is different on each of the performances.

Hey Julia
The San Fransicso version ends with a low synth note.
The version here and the Boston version end with a Hammond 'shriek'.
In the first chorus on the Boston version, on the "you're so unexpected..." lines a cheesy keyboard
(sorry for lack of a better description!) chimes in, unlike on this version.

Sneakin' Sally
The very last note on each of the three versions differs.

Work To Make It Work
Labelled as 'You Gotta Work' on Boston 76, the last note (or 'woah!') differs.

How Much Fun.
The ending on each of these versions is subtly different.

Which Of Us is The Fool
While both the version here and the San Francisco version share the same staccato style/
jumpy keyboard playing once Robert's vocal starts, the ending differs :
Robert stops singing 10 seconds before the end here, whereas he sings 'which of us
is the fool, baby' up to four seconds before the end on the San Francisco version.

Riverboat
After Robert's first line, the Hammond comes in much louder and much sooner on the San Francisco version.

Pressure Drop
here Robert stops singing 15 seconds before the end, on the San Francisco recording, he stops 30 seconds before the end.
