Robert Plant : The Lostbrook Tape Series - Volume 25

One of my biggest concert regrets is never having seen Led Zeppelin. I
specifically remember passing on the 1977 tour due to financial reasons.
Choices had to be made, and I was already heavily invested in tickets,
batteries, and tapes in ’77. I also thought I could simply see them on
the next tour. Ironically, this concert is the next time Robert Plant
performed at Madison Square Garden, but we all know what happened to Zeppelin.
When Plant embarked on this first solo tour, I knew I had to be there,
especially when I found out Phil Collins would be the drummer. I no longer
have my ticket stub, but I believe we sat in Section 39 with the stage a few
sections to our right. Although there were no Zep tunes in the set, Robert Plant
was in full signature voice, and I can’t imagine anyone left unhappy. My search
for other recordings of this concert consistently turns up a single, incomplete
tape. If that is truly the case, I am delighted to provide the entire concert
for your enjoyment.
