Basically the same set list as for other shows on this tour & another great performance by Robin & the guys back again at The Brook.
Recorded in my usual sweet-spot at The Brook, centre stage a little way back so that you get a nice mix of both the back line & the PA.
Robin was playing though 2 Marshalls set to give a very 'pokey' stage level i.e. VERY LOUD!!! .. so the rest of the band had to do the same .. which made for a VERY LOUD show (even painful to the ears in certain bits).
Unlike at some previous shows by Mr Trower at The Brook, this time the vocals via the PA matched the instruments' volume, so a good balanced band sound was acheived.
Inspite of the excessive (IMO) volume, my recording has come out very clean & very nice, & well worth sharing here on Dime.
Actually the loud volume has helped to minimise any 'chat' leaking through onto the recording & generally it discouraged people from talking during the show, so well done Mr Trower as there is nothing worse in my book that being subjected to someones inane ramblings whilst trying to enjoy a live show ... nuff said!!

For those interested - basic details of the mastering applied to my original Zoom H2 recording (using Wavelab6) are as follows:
A: EQ / Multiband Compression / Limiting (-0.3dB max) / Dithering to 16bit
B: WAVs edited to fit on to 2xCDRs (with overlap) plus fade in/out
C: track split

A note for any finicky audiophiles out there:
Mastering has been done to polish the raw master recording with the aim of enhancing the listening experience. If you prefer virgin recordings, unspoiled by any such amateur 'dabbling' then do not join in on this one. Be warned now ... I don't want any whinging! ;-)

But for the rest of you Dime'ers I recommend that you GO FOR THIS ONE ... you won't be disappointed!
I score the sound quality as 9 out of 10 ( = A- ); but hey! ... don't flame me if you don't agree ... & at least keep it friendly ;-)

If you have any comments, whether positive, negative or otherwise, I would love to read them ... don't be a lurker!
