01 Let It Be Me

Way back in the 20th century, Neko Case and friends organized a one-off tribute show to the Everly Brothers (benefitting the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center) featuring a host of local musicians and others including the Picketts, John Wesley Harding, Dudley Manlove, Zumpano and the Meat Purveyors. Someone was kind enough to let JEMS plug into the board that night.

Occasional local Robyn Hitchcock dropped by and offered this lovely reading of "Let It Be Me," which he says he learned from Dylan's Self Portrait. Miss Case's status on the DIME "No" list prevents the whole show from being posted, but Robyn's fine solo performance is kosher.
