Here is another brand new Roger McGuinn recording, transferred and flac'd for the first time anywhere.
It had been 14 years since Roger's last album. Touring in support of his 6th studio album "Back from Rio".
Backed by a group of musicians called The Headlights. This concert showcases a selection of songs from that album.
Earlier on this tour Roger had opened for Steve Winwood, The Grateful Dead and ZZ Top.
Former Byrds frontman Roger McGuinn caught a Headlights show in a bar near his Florida beach house and
knew that he had found his ideal backing band.
For Steve Connelly, this was an unbelievable opportunity. As a young kid hearing the jangle of the Byrds
Mr. Tambouring Man on his radio, McGuinns music had had an immediate life-changing impact on Connelly.
He was my hero, says Connelly, When I had just started playing guitar, I used to tell people McGuinn was my cousin".
