True Story. Music lovers around here were very happy when it was announced that Roger McGuinn was due to play a gig in the North East of England. But.... then we realised that the date announced for South Shields was the SAME day that Bob Dylan was due to play The Arena in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, only 12 miles away. I found Roger McGuinn's email address and wrote to him, pointing out that Dylan was playing on the same day, and many of us wanted to see both shows. He replied a couple of days later saying something like 'don't believe all the dates you see online' and then the date for the McGuinn gig was changed! Just one example of how I managed to change Rock'n'Roll history........ Then the Dylan gig didn't happen as Bob was hospitalised and then recovering from histoplasmosis....ho hum!
