Audience tape
Here’s an obscure but interesting McGuinn show I haven’t seen
anywhere. This came to me back in the late 70’s from a friend in
Ca. who taped the show. It’s a decent sounding audience tape for it’s time.
It’s also interesting in that it features the short lived Thunderbyrd,version1,
and includes a lot of rarely played songs. Touring on the heels of his recent
Thunderbyrd lp, it includes many songs from that record, as well as some not
played solo stuff. Check out the weird scat singing during the jam at the end of
Eight Miles High. Very strange, at least for McGuinn.
