In 1979 McGuinn, Hillman & Clark released the self titled album McGuinn, Clark & Hillman (*)
In 1980 they released the album titled City (**)
Several tracks from both albums are performed here, along with many Byrds classics.
By the end of 1979 Gene Clark had stepped away from touring with the group.
Without Clark they had lost their 3 way harmonies and you can really notice the absence of Clark's voice, along with his guitar playing.
The 4 piece band does just fine. They even do a cover of The Doobie Brothers "Jesus Is Just Alright", though a very different version.

This recording sounds very good, though it's not 100% complete. There are some cut tracks.
Track 14 "Surrender To Me" is just a snippet & ending only at just 27 seconds.
Track 15 "Chimes Of Freedom" starts and then cuts off at 10 seconds in and then continues to the end.
The crowd noise is low, so this is enjoyable to listen to.
Live recordings from the 1980 tour are somewhat rare, so if you're a fan I'd suggest having this in your collection.

This took me a lot of time and effort to get all the information properly presented, so i hope you enjoy it.
