Please read carefully and do not circulate these audio files without this README file. Thank you for your cooperation.

I downloaded this torrent from HungerCity in early September 2009.

The text file included with the torrent (below) indicates this was a rip from the original silver CD bootleg "The ABKCO Masters" (Planet Records).

Upon decoding into WAV and burning a CD-DA disc, I instantly realized the audio plays much too fast. There's also significant tape hiss, and abrupt starts and stops in these recordings, and the occassional tick here and there.

I also realized there were silent gaps between the tracks.

Using Cool Edit Pro, I combined all of the tracks into one huge WAV that was about 75-78 minutes long.

Then, I zoomed into the places where the tracks came together & located and edited out the silent gaps, which were 0.014 - 0.018 of a second in size.

Using Audacity, I then speed-corrected the entire WAV about -9.4%. This WAV now became about 82 minutes long, but I believe the pitch and speed of the recordings are more accurate. Perhaps not perfect, but if you can do better, by all means give it a go.

No noise or hiss reduction, EQing or other transformation of the sound files occurred. I left it as-is, only removed gaps and speed-correction.

Using CD Wave Editor, I then chopped-up the huge WAV back into the original 19 tracks.

Using Trader's Little Helper, I then fixed the SBEs (and removed '-fixed' from the filenames).

I changed the titles of a couple tracks for accuracy. Track 07 is "Goodtime Woman" - not "Tumbling Dice." Track 09 is "I Don't Know Why" and Track 13 is "Still A Fool."

Using Trader's Little Helper, I encoded the WAVs into FLAC (Level 8).

Please note that because the change in the speed, these tracks will no longer fit onto 1CD. Sorry.

Original EAC extraction log file (in German) included. I am not including the artwork from the original torrent because it's low-res and blurry, inaccurate (misspelled "ABKCO" and includes a photo of Brian Jones?) and the corrections of the song titles.

The Rolling Stones
The Abkco Masters
Planet Records

Compilation of outtakes from 1968-1972

new lineage:
silver CD -> WAV (EAC) -> FLAC8 (Max) -> WAV (gaps removed, speed correction, SBEs fixed) -> FLAC (Level 8)

01 Jivin' Sister Fanny
02 Shine A Light
03 Loving Cup
04 I'm Going Down
05 Hip Shake (aka"Shake Your Hips")
06 Sweet Virginia
07 Goodtime Woman (misidentified as "Tumbling Dice" in the artwork)
08 Stop Breaking Down
09 I Don't Know Why (aka "Two Train Blues")
10 Brown Sugar
11 Stuck Out All Alone (aka "Hamburger To Go")
12 Family
13 Still A Fool
14 Family
15 All Down The Line
16 Memo From Turner
17 Downtown Lucy (aka "Downtown Suzie")
18 I Ain't Lying (aka "Ain't Gonna Lie")
19 Blood Red Wine

June 10-July 2,1969 Olympic Studios
June 10-July 2,69 or March 31, July 23,1970 Olympic Studios
June 10-July 2,1969 Olympic Studios
June 16-July 27,1970 Olympic Studios
Oct. 21 onwards+ Nov.1970 Stargroves,MSR
Oct. 21 onwards+ Nov.1970 Stargroves,MSR
Oct.15-Nov.23,1971 Villefrance,Nelcote
Oct. 21 onwards+ Nov.1970 Stargroves,MSR
May 13-21,1968 Olympic Studios
December 18,1970 Olympic Studios
May 13-21,1968 Olympic Studios
June 24+ 28,1968 Olympic Studios
May 13-21,1968 Olympic Studios
May 13-21,1968 Olympic Studios
June 10-July 2,1969 Olympic Studios
November 17,1968 Olympic Studios
May 13-21,1968 Olympic Studios
Oct.15-Nov.23,1971 Villefrance,Nelcote
May 13-21,1968 Olympic Studios

artwork, fingerprints & log included.
