Complete show at the Miami Pop Festival in Palm Beach November 30, 1969. Good - very good audience quality. Also available on One Day Before From Altermont (TSD 024) and Palm Beach 1969 (IMP-CD 042) in same quality.

West Palm Beach, FL 11/30/69; 70 min; 6.5 m; "Palm Beach 1969"/others
A good up front audience tape, marred by speed variations which start halfway
through. This was a damp, chilly concert where the Stones didn't go on until
4 AM, and the guitars are frequently out of tune. Still worth hearing. This
Japanese CD is made from a very low generation tape, probably the best
available. Note: VGP has released "Miami Pop Festival," which might be
better.

"Uhm we've eventually arrived in Florida, after 11 hours and 15 minutes in the same aeroplane.
We had amazing hassles getting here but we managed to get through and we are here and we're
gonna come and play for you and we wanted everybody to know that if you had to wait and you're
cold that we are sorry, we got here as quickly as we could. We were hung up by things like the
president landing at the airport where we were trying to take off and that made it all very difficult.
Could you turn that light off actually, 'cause I got weak eyelids, thank you [big laughter in the
audience and a girl asking 'who is this?']. Uhm anyway when we come we'd be very grateful if
everyone could wake up which will be really nice and if you wanna get warm then the best excuse
is to sort of dance around and furfile (???) if you want to over the music. We'll be here quickly,
we're sorry to hang you up over it right. As soon as we can get here we'll be here thanks ..."

..... THE ROLLING STONES! .... We're alright! ... Yeah alright ..."

With this wonderful intro by Sam Cutler the people who were at the Miami Pop Festival 1969 woke up in the middle of the night
and got the Stones. It's amazing that someone thought about taping this show *and* the intro, but he did quite a good job although
there are some speed problems. VGP probably cleaned up the tape 'cause there's really not much hiss, at least much less than
expected. This is a must have for 1969 fans who may have had this show on the IMP label, if not go and get it!
Great in between comments from Mick: "we're gonna do Gimme some Shelter when we're in tune", only just a bit out of tune! ;-)

This is the whole show, 13 songs + the Sam Cutler intro, and it's a 70.18 minute trip back to 1969 ... as Mick says: "...

Miami Pop Festival 1969 (VGP) -- another new release, and a great audience CD. Stands up to the recent upgrade
"It's No Hangin' Matter". Kudos to the Gang for cleaning up such a good show sound-wise. A definite must have for '69 tour fans.
