This is an audience recording of the Rolling Stones in Long Beach, CA, June 10, 1972. It's one week into their 1972 North American tour and the Stones are playing extremely well. Unfortunately this is one of the worst recordings of the tour. If there's any consolation, that means extremely small file sizes; only 170 MB for the entire 74:29 download including art. I have included the great artwork for the previous torrent although it's now incorrect because I indexed the introduction before Brown Sugar as a separate track.
This source is from a mid '80s cassette which I transferred to digital in early 2006 using an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound card. I used slight analog EQ to boost the bass and cut the midrange, but the recording has very little bass or treble. Too much EQ would make it sound wrong. The cassette ran at about the right speed so I left that alone. I did pick the better channel and mix it to both channels for exact mono and a 1/3 reduction in FLAC file size.
For hardcore Stones fans only. Like me. I know all 3 people named on the artwork, and I had nothing to do with it.
