PERFORMANCE:
Just like the concert in New Orleans 1978, The Rolling Stones did a GREAT performance in the same venue (The Superdome) in 1981
If you have heard the ONE song available from New Orleans 1981 in VG-EX audience quality (thanks to mr Freezer), you'll easier understand what a nice show it was....(the other more complete audience recording is not in good quality at all).....which leads us to..."comments" :

COMMENTS:
Unfortunately, the SBD recording of New Orleans 1981 is not among the better "newly circulating mono boards". It's a bit muddy.....just like Buffalo and Los Angeles.
It IS a great listen, for those really interested in the Rolling Stones; but it is NOT recommended for the "occational listener".
It's a bit of a shame, that New Orleans doesn't sound as good as other mono soundboards from this tour - but you can't always get what you.....or whatever
The Superdome in New Orleans is a real big indoor venue; and I bet it was a real nice mood in that place - there's not much "mood" in this *dry* soundboard recording though...
....keep in mind that I'm being "too critical" here, as we are so spoiled when it comes to great 1981 recordings....I have enjoyed New Orleans 1981 loads of times

MORE COMMENTS:
Empress Valley never released New Orleans 1981. So this DAC is the best release of this concert.

I have torrented this DAC a couple of years ago on DIME, in the summer of 2006. But this is a new (and more secure) rip.
