Rolling Stones
A Private Concert to Benefit Robin Hood
Radio City Music Hall
New York, NY
March 14, 2006

This "private" concert was a fund raiser for Robin Hood - http://www.robinhood.org - an organization
that fights poverty. Ticket prices ranged from $7,500 to $250. It cost a minimum of $1,000 to be
in the orchestra. MSG donated RCMH for free, the Stones played for free and even donated a
very large undisclosed amount themselves (the band did not even run any merchandise
concessions - though everybody in attendance found a free t-shirt on their seat). Radio City
Music Hall sold out all 6000+ seats and raised over $11,000,000 for this very worthwhile
charitable organization, every dollar of which will go to fight poverty and not some hack of a
fund raiser. I'm led to believe that this is the difference about Robin Hood ... every cent of your
dollar actually goes to the cause.

Why do I mention all of this, because I am asking all of you who download this show to make a
contribution to Robin Hood - no matter how small - it is all appreciated and very much needed.
I'm guessing at least 500 people will download this recording, maybe more. If you each gave
just $10 to Robin Hood that's $5,000, if you give more, so much the better for you. I'm
attaching a .jpeg of donation form to this torrent that was included within the evening's program
to help you with your donation. Please fill it out and mail it in with your donation, or visit their
web site - http://www.robinhood.org

People I don't mean to rant on, but just think of all the wonderful free music you download here.
Nobody asks anything of you, everything you get here is free. Think of all the amazing
recordings I give to you for absolutely nothing, asking nothing from you other than your kind
compliments. Almost 7000 of you have downloaded my Cream shows for free. Tens of
thousands of others of you have downloaded all my other recordings (WLIR Pre-FM's, etc.) and
I will continue to share them all with you here and elsewhere (up and coming the music of New
Orleans from the 1970's, the Meters, Nevilles, Rhapsodizer's, Radiators, etc...), but this one time
I am asking all of you to do a little good for someone else and to give a little to Robin Hood. I
don't think any of you will miss the $10, but for those fighting poverty, those who don't know
where their next meal is coming from or where they will be sleeping tonight, your $10 can make
all the difference to them. So PLEASE give to Robin Hood - http://www.robinhood.org !!!!!!!!!!!!

Now on to the show ....

This was the first time the Rolling Stones ever played Radio City Music Hall. It was one of those
rare opportunities to see the worlds best rock 'n roll band in a concert hall built for music and not
an arena or stadium with crappy sound. My seat was a $1000 seat in the last row of the
orchestra under the overhang .... nothing doing there, the sound would have been awful. I
upgraded myself out in the open and into the $2,500 seats and wound up 6 rows FOB & DFC
(Front of Board & Directly Fucking Centered)!!! This recording was made from as sweet a spot
as the sweet spot offers. This was, as Mick notes, the most "well heeled" crowd the Stones have
ever played for, "even more so than Dubai, and you have more wives too.". It was yuppie
central. Mix in alcohol and clappers were all over the place. Distressed though I may have been
of the yutz behind me who not only clapped the entire show, but he had no rhythm and was off
beat, you don't really hear much of it. The guy next to me also started clapping during the 2nd
of the show. That's when I started dancing more wildly, striking his arms to keep him from
clapping, he got the message after a few hard "accidental" bumps. An occasional hoot here and
there and clapping between songs, but all in all, this is amongst the best audience recordings I
have heard from this years tour. I know you are all going to love this recording.

Note as I was leaving and walking by the soundboard I asked the sound man for a copy of his set
list. He said "Here ya go mate!!!" I have attached a scan of it to this torrent for all of you.

Note also that Sheryl Crow was supposed to open the show, but obviously due to her recent
illness she had to cancel. Get well soon Sheryl, we all miss you and want to see you back on
stage. Instead, the always enjoyable party band the B-52's filled in as the opening act.
Unfortunately I missed the first 45 seconds of their set, but I am including all of what I have of
their set as a part of this torrent.

most importantly, share it freely with your loved ones and friends. And PLEASE donate to
Robin Hood - http://www.robinhood.org

May those who try to sell or otherwise profit from my recording be cursed with all the bad karma
that you justly deserve. This means you Middle Valley, VGP & all you other scum sucking
bootleggers who profit from my recordings. We will find you and we will put you out of
business.
