This is a compilation of rarely played songs, guest performances, and select other songs from The Rolling Stones' "50 & Counting" tour. All of these songs were selected from torrents that are available on DIME.I decided to do this compilation after listening to all of the shows that have been shared here, and really enjoying the unique songs and performances they had every night. I felt that a compilation of those unique performances would be an enjoyable listen, without the 10-12 "standards" that were performed every night (nothing wrong with those songs, though). The addition of Mick Taylor for this celebration tour, combined with Mick J. focusing more on his on singing, resulted in some great performances. I hadn't expected this tour to be as good as it was, given the large gap from the last tour, and their advancing age. I was very pleasantly suprised with the vast majority of the performances. I want to give a huge "Thank You" to all of the tapers who shared their recordings, and the folks who shared boots and recordings obtained elsewhere, on behalf of all of us who benefited from your generosity. The links below will take you to their torrents, so you can check out their entire shows if you haven't downloaded them already. The overall quality of these recordings is excellent, in my opinion.
Below is a listing of all of the shows they played on this tour, a notation if it is available on DIME (and a link to the torrent, if it is), and a listing of "unique tracks" not included here if a particular show wasn't shared on DIME. I will also indicate in the tour listing which show/torrent each track came from. I have included the original files, but have changed the file names to include new track numbers and the song title. I have contacted the original tapers that I could reasonably contact, and received their permission to include their recordings. I hope you find this compilation worthwhile, and enjoy the look-back at this historic tour.
