Back in the early to mid 80s, I went to school at Humboldt State University in Northern California. I regularly went to a little record shop in downtown Arcata named Red Roach Records to buy used records.
I met Al Wolski who worked at Red Roach Records and we became friends. If I remember right, Al went down to the Oakland area around the holidays in 1985 and taped RT at Larry Blake's. I don't know what type of equipment he used.
The sound is pretty good, but there are some flucuations. I remember Al telling me that he would cover the microphone everytime the waitress came to his table.

I doubt that this show has been shared outside of Al's circle of friends back in the day. I finally decided to find a way to digitize the tape Al gave me, so this show can be offered to a wider audience. I hope that some of you will enjoy this show.

Al if you are out there, listening to this show brings back a lot of great memories. After graduating, I moved to the Bay Area and saw RT at Larry Blake's at least 8 or 9 times before moving to Portland.
