This is a Ronnie Earl with the Allstars show, mixing musicians who have played in
Roomful of Blues, Earl and The Broadcasters, and Sugar Ray and The Bluetones.
This recording is a bit of a mystery. This comes from a CD that I recieved in a trade years ago.
Unfortunately the CD was not labeled with any information other than Ronnie Earl.
I have no recollection of who or where I got it from.
It is a fairly good audience recording and the cool thing about it is there is some guest players on here.
BB King's previous organ player, Ron Levy. I know Ron lives in the Massachusetts area.
Usually when he is a guest performer, it’s normally in the area that he lives, so this is definitely from Massachusetts.
I would guess sometime in the early 80s.
There was an album titled 'Smoking' which was recorded in Boston, February and August 1982, released early 1983.
The album featured Kim Wilson and Sugar Ray Norcia as vocalists and harp players.
This live recording might be from The Bull Run Tavern in Shirley, Mass. possibly 1983.
Total Time = 39:48
