Notes:
This was a very special evening. It's the second night of Roseanne Cash's
residency at the Library of Congress. The performance is an acoustic round
robin with each artist taking turns playing a song based on the evening's theme
of travelling in the South. The concert program was titled "The Long Way Home".

In order, the artists are Cory Chisel, Roseanne Cash, Amy Helm, and Rodney
Crowell. Of course, Roseanne and Rodney are two of Americana's leading performers.
Amy and Cory are brilliant rising stars. All are wonderful singers, songwriters,
musicians, and storytellers. And John Leventhal, Roseanne's husband, is an
extraordinary guitarist. He provides accompaniment to all the performers.

We couldn't have had better seats. Second row, center, with the performers
arrayed in chairs not 20 feet in front of us. There was almost no audience
noise, except the applause between songs. And the show was free! In other words,
just like we planned it.

The sound speaks for itself. Check out the samples.

All credit to the artists, please support them:
Roseanne's new album The River & The Thread will be available in January. And if
you have a Roseanne fan on your holiday shopping list, her book "Composed" is one
of the very best music memoirs. Five stars from Team FLOYDZ.

Rodney and Emmylou Harris have a fine duets album out entitled Old Yellow Moon.
It's one of the best albums of 2013.

Cory Chisel's latest album, Old Believers, is a stunner- be sure to check it out.

Amy Helm's debut solo album should be out shortly, so keep an eye out for that.
