comments;
this was a national broadcast from the tour supporting
their album "anytime, anyplace, anywhere". Don't
misunderstand me was their current hit single. this is the
sortakinda Lynyrd Skynyrd band, just a few years after
the tragic sudden death of their lead singer Ronnie Van
Zant, one of the most distinct and popular American rock
vocalists of his lifetime. now they have lost Billy Powell
to stomach cancer. they say life is hard in the Southern U.S.
and it was very hard for a very famous band. this was a
pretty strong comeback tour effort, under the circumstances,
more pop oriented than Skynyrd especially in the vocals and
songwriting but maintaining much of the feel of the guitar
keyboard and rhythm sound of their predecessor. I recommend
starting disc 2 with track 12, if burning to CD.
do not sell this recording.
Trade freely, losslessly and gaplessly.
a "free bird" must remain free.
